1997

July 1997Chris Pilling, Nick Roberts and Alex Viall establish Complinet and open its first London office.

September 1997 Complinet launches its Securities and Banking news service, establishing itself as the UK's pioneer in web-based delivery of financial services compliance intelligence.

1999

February 1999 Complinet delivers first enterprise-wide compliance intelligence solution.

2001

April 2001 Complinet opens New York office.

August 2001 Complinet now delivers services and tools to more than 700 financial institutions and blue chip companies across the globe. In the same month, Complinet launches Know-How and Guidance to provide more depth and context to its news services.

September 2001 Complinet announces that its services and tools are now deployed in banks in more than 60 countries.

October 2001 Complinet launches Policy Manager and Global AML news service.

November 2001 Complinet monitors Home Office and FBI sanctions and enforcements in the wake of September 11 and the USA PATRIOT Act.

2002

February 2002 Complinet launches Global Screening to help the community meet its increased know your customer and AML requirements.

August to November 2002 Complinet extends its jurisdictional scope to include Guernsey, Hong Kong, Germany, South Korea, and China.

2003

June 2003 Complinet launches e-learning and a pioneering Regulatory Calendar service that provides a regulatory timeline for upcoming releases from regulators, exchanges and trade associations.

November 2003 Complinet named for the first of four times as one of Britain's fastest-growing private tech companies in the Sunday Times Tech Track league tables. Complinet is in eighth position with a 182 percent increase in sales.

2004

Sept 2004 Complinet launches US division of its AML news service.

November 2004 Complinet named in the Sunday Times Tech Track league tables, for the second year running. Complinet is in 36th position with 129 percent growth.

December 2004 NASD (now FINRA) launch online Manuals powered by Complinet. New hosted manuals enable easier, more intuitive access to online manuals for FINRA-regulated firms.

2005

January 2005 Complinet hosts its inaugural compliance annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the achievements of compliance professionals in the UK financial services industry.

May 2005 Complinet launches Banking Law and Regulation service for US financial services firms and reaches 1000 firms worldwide.

June 2005 50,000 compliance professionals across the globe now depend on Complinet for their services and tools.

July 2005 Complinet releases new and innovative versioning functionality for its Rulebooks service.

September 2005 For the third year running Complinet ranks in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 of fastest growing companies. Complinet placed 74th with 50 percent growth.

October 2005 Complinet opens Middle East Sales and Operations office in Dubai.

2006

February 2006 Complinet launches exclusive online version of Steven Lofchie's Guide to Broker-Dealer Regulation.

July 2006 Complinet introduces new Politically Exposed Persons database (PEP Intelligence) and Adverse Media Search to extend its Global Screening services.

August 2006 Complinet launches next generation Regulatory Calendar for compliance.

October 2006 Complinet and NASDAQ announce the launch of Complinet-hosted NASDAQ exchange rules online.

November 2006 Complinet awarded Sunday Times Tech Track listing for the fourth year running. It is one of only three companies that have stayed in the rankings for four consecutive years. Complinet placed 97th with 39 percent growth.

December 2006 Reuters selects Complinet to deliver quality data and services to support its Datascope product.

2007

February 2007 Complinet hosts inaugural GCC Regulators' Summit in Doha.

June 2007 Financial News names Complinet as one of 21 companies with the potential to shape the financial services landscape in the 21st century.

August 2007 Complinet and TSX Group launch online Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange rules.

September 2007 Complinet launches Tracker – a revolutionary ‘early-warning’ system to alert organizations to upcoming regulatory developments.

2008

March 2008 Complinet closes $37m investment from Fidelity Equity Partners to expand into APAC and enhance product offerings.

April 2008 Complinet opens Sydney office to manage APAC operations.
